All the larger towns have cycle shops for accessories and repairs to mountain (VTT) and road (Vélo) bikes. For rentals, try Holiday Bikes, a company well represented in the south of France. Their range includes kids’ bikes (Euro 6 per day, Euro 25 per week), three-gear town cycles (Euro 10 per day, Eruo 50 per week), 21- to 24-gear mountain, as well as road and racing bikes (starting at Euro 14 per day, Euro 65 per week). Helmets (required by French law) and child seats are free on request. If you are over 18 and can present a valid driver’s licence, the company also rents motorcycles.
